Companion Apps celebrating 40th Zelda anniversary

Sat, 21 Feb 2026 16:02:11 +0000

Today marks the 40th birthday of the great 'The Legend of Zelda' video game series. Over the last couple of years, we have built multiple companion apps for these games and many more will follow! Our small business started with a app for Zelda and is currently focused a lot around it - but we also cover other games and things by now. We try to enhance the expirence for everyone who wants to fully complete any of the games and gets as many information possible on the way. We always try to take ideas from the community into consideration to add them to our apps. As we are only two people doing this in our spare time, I personally find really neat what we did so far and I hope it already helped a lot of players out there. As our apps all work completly offline once installed, it may even be a good pick for regions with troublesome connection - and I personally see this as a good thing for a interactive map/checklist.

Due to the birthday event today, we like to share some free unlock codes for our apps.
It's dangerous to go alone, take this!

Breath Companion

Our companion app for Zelda Breath of the Wild. Even though there is Zelda Notes for the Switch 2, our app offers other solutions to reach 100% and it also works with the Wii U and Switch version of the game.

iOS App: https://itunes.apple.com/app/id1218936949
Android App: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.SoftwareNotion.BreathCompanion

Free unlock codes: https://software-notion.de/apps/breath-companion/codes

Tears Companion

Our companion app for Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Just as with BotW, there might be Zelda Notes by now but our app still has it's personal touch and works with the Switch version as well.

App Website: https://tearscompanion.software-notion.de/

iOS App: https://itunes.apple.com/app/id6449003066
Android App: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.SoftwareNotion.TearsCompanion

Awakening Companion

A small app for Link's Awakening with support for the GB/GBC version as well as the Switch version of the game. A dreamlike adventure of link that everyone should have played.

iOS App: https://itunes.apple.com/app/id1478429135
Android App: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.SoftwareNotion.AwakeningCompanion

Free unlock codes: https://software-notion.de/apps/awakening-companion/codes

Wind Companion

Set sail! In this adventure of Link we have to travel the sea and this app helps you for the GC as well as the Wii U version. As the GC version is already available for Virtual Console, lets be honest we all wait for the HD version on the Switch.

iOS App: https://itunes.apple.com/app/id1521085677
Android App: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.SoftwareNotion.WindCompanion

Free unlock codes: https://software-notion.de/apps/wind-companion/codes

Twilight Companion

The darkest adventure of Link with the most dungeons as well. We support the GC, Wii and HD version with our app and just as with Wind Waker, we all just hope that Twilight Princess will make its way onto the Switch.

iOS App: https://itunes.apple.com/app/id6758896180
Android App: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.SoftwareNotion.TwilightCompanion

Free unlock codes: https://software-notion.de/apps/twilight-companion/codes

EoW Companion

Let's make Zelda the main character and enjoy an individual adventure in the Link's Awakening style. Our App helps you to find everything.

iOS App: https://itunes.apple.com/app/id6730106264
Android App: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.SoftwareNotion.EoWCompanion

Free unlock codes: https://software-notion.de/apps/eow-companion/codes

Legend Companion

Legend Companion is your travel guide through the classic adventure of Link.

iOS App: https://itunes.apple.com/app/id1448141167
Android App: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.SoftwareNotion.TLoZCompanion

Skyward Companion

The timeline started in the Sky. Follow Link and Zelda to their historical first adventure.

iOS App: https://apps.apple.com/app/id1580232313
Android App: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.SoftwareNotion.SkywardCompanion

All codes can be redeemed within the app (last tab on the purchase page) or in the native app store of your device (you need to restore it afterwards in our app in that case). We used our own website for the code sharing as bot protection and to make it as fair as possible. That is also why we decided to release the codes in waves instead of all at once.

And on top of our apps, we also offer self made 3D printed merchandise for the Zelda franchise. And to celebrate the birthday event here as well, we have currently reduced every Zelda print in price and also share another discount code on top. The discount code is active for the first 50 orders with it and reduces the price by another 40%!

Our 3D print shop: https://shop.software-notion.de/collections/the-legend-of-zelda
Discount code: ZELDA40

I hope you all enjoy the franchise just as much as I do and I hope you can make good use of this little 'advertisement'. :)
